The challenge
Meló-Diák has been Hungary's leading student-work organizer since 1983. Their challenge, however, is unique: their target audience essentially turns over from one year to the next.
Reaching a constantly renewing audience with a static identity from 2019 was getting harder every year. The brand didn't come across as untrustworthy - just invisible on the platforms where students actually spend their time.

The brief
So the task wasn't a classic rebrand but something more: creating a digital-first visual identity that works just as powerfully on TikTok, Instagram Reels and in paid ads as it does in print - while preserving the credibility built over decades toward corporate partners.

The solution
The starting point of the identity work was reordering the brand values: simple, digital, credible and personal - phrased in the language of Gen Z. The new visual system builds on this: vivid colors, hand-drawn stickers and dynamic, snapshot-style imagery that presents life as a Meló-Diák student not as work, but as a community experience.
Alongside the new identity we organized a full brand photoshoot and TikTok video production, so the identity comes to life not only in guidelines but in real, ready-to-use content. We supported the launch of the renewed brand with an integrated campaign toward students and corporate partners alike - from social platforms to sales materials.

What we achieved together
The new concept and communication style doesn't just look good, it measurably works.
In the first six months after launch, engagement grew by 600 percent on Facebook and more than twelvefold on Instagram: students don't just see Meló-Diák's content, they react to it, share it and comment on it.
TikTok was a different task. The platform matured over the past year, growth stalled for every player in the category, and at the start of the year it turned into decline. The goal here wasn't a breakout but holding the leading position: we stopped the decline and turned it back into growth, and Meló-Diák remains the largest TikTok presence in the student-work category.
The Meló-Diák case shows that a digital-first identity is only worth something if it works in day-to-day content production, not just in the guidelines. The same visual language and voice delivered a breakthrough on Meta platforms and held the position in a stagnating market.
